Wessel Swart (aka West Black) received a National Diploma in Film and Video Technology from Tshwane University
of Technology in 2003. In 2005 he started West Black Video Productions in the Kanton of Graubünden, Switzerland.
For the last seven years Wes worked on a wide range of professional projects.
Highlights include:
Acting as a cameraman for MTV-Canada at the 2008 Snowboard World Cup in Arosa;
Functioning as director of photography on the short film ´Ungeheuerlich` that was shown at the Spiez Film Festival and aired on the channel TSO (Tele Südostschweiz);
Producing a promotional film for the Swiss municipality of Bonaduz, Graubünden;
Doing camerawork, designing graphics and editing advertisements, talk shows and interviews on a wide range of productions for SO-Emotion, the largest professional video production company in the South-East of Switzerland;
Functioning as a camera assistant during the live broadcast of the Engadin Ski Marathon in St. Moritz, televised annually on stations such as SF, SSF, TSO, and RTR;
